In most cases, you’re eligible to sign up for Medicare three months prior to your 65th birthday. That is the beginning of your “Initial Enrollment Period”. Once the Initial Enrollment Period begins, you have seven months to enroll. You could end up paying higher rates if you do not enroll in this window. If you’re currently in your Initial Enrollment Period and you have yet to enroll in Medicare, call The Medicare Basics right away so we can assist you in finding the right plan at the right cost before it’s too late.
